New social and community partnership with Dublin Simon Community.

Community is at the heart of Shamrock Rovers

Shamrock Rovers F.C. is pleased to announce a social and community partnership with Dublin Simon Community.

Community is at the heart of Shamrock Rovers and the club is continuously engaged in supporting and building relationships with our local community. As Ireland’s premier football club, we hope that we can spread the message and tremendous work of Dublin Simon Community to our fanbase and further afield.

We will partner with Simon to promote three of its biggest fundraising events of the year namely the Longest Day event in June, the Simon Home Run in October and the Sing for Simon at Christmas.

The partnership will provide:

  • Advertising in Tallaght Stadium and matchday programme
  • Promotional support & recruitment for key fundraising events
  • Facility sharing with Dublin Simon Community service users
  • Educating Shamrock Rovers team & supporters through service visits & impact presentations

Speaking at the launch in Tallaght Stadium, Dublin Simon Community CEO Sam McGuinness said:

“As two grassroots Dublin organisations built on teamwork and community spirit, Dublin Simon Community is delighted to be partnering with Shamrock Rovers. Already, Shamrock Rovers has made several commitments both at fundraising and service-user level to support us in our vision to make home a reality for people experiencing and at risk of homelessness in Dublin and the surrounding counties. We look forward to experiencing the positive impact of this partnership on the lives of our clients and residents in the weeks and months ahead.”

“Community is at the heart of Shamrock Rovers and the club is continuously engaged in supporting and building relationships with our local community. We hope to help Dublin Simon Community with its invaluable work which involves the efforts of hundreds of volunteers on a weekly basis. Shamrock Rovers will provide a platform for Simon to build even greater awareness of its work and fundraising projects.”
